Anchored in Gulf Port just off the town. 10.5 feet near high tide might drop to about 8 feet. Water temp 76 degrees. It’s a bit rolly with weekend traffic.

We are anchored just off Boca Ciega Bay in another bay. It’s beautiful. They say it’s a bit tricky to get into. Stay to your starboard side as close as you can. There are a few shallow areas in the center that you have to watch out for. Water depth 7.5 feet at low-low tide. Depth now 9.5. Water temp 76!!!!

Port Saint Joe. We anchored in the bay 14 feet. What a great entrance. It’s huge and we were greeted by Dauphins the water temp is 62 degrees. This was a 4 hour trip.

It’s 6:35 p.m just after sunset in Panama City. We are in a Bay called Grand Lagoon Bay. We are expecting moderate winds and rain tomorrow so we will plan on staying here til Sunday some time. Water depth is 19 feet. No current or waves. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 I took this photo in the morning. It was just to dark to take one when we arrived.

We anchored in Destin FL. It was a bit tricky coming in. Bryce called TowBoat US for guidance coming in. We sure do help them earn their pay check. Water depth is 11 feet. The water temp is 62.2 degrees.

What a day! Our little red engine just couldn’t go on any longer. After a few hours of a great day sailing, the wind disappeared. Bryce went to start the engine and there was no engagement. We had to call Tow BoatUS.

Well today is November 24, we left SeaBrook Marina around 8:15 this morning. We are in the Mississippi Sound anchored near Half Moon Island for the night. We were greeted by dolphins 🐬 just before we dropped the hook. Our water depth is 9.7 feet we have 1.5 feet of tide.

After a long day, we arrived at SeaBrook Marina. It was very dark coming in with the lights on shore blinding us. But all worked out well. We are tied up on the floating docks in front of the marina. The water depth 11.7 a and water temp is 67.3. It’s getting warmer.

Tonight we anchored in Grand view anchorage. We came in around 7:30 p.m. It was very dark no moon. But all the vessels had eyes on us we found out when we anchored. This is a designated anchorage area for boats. We are surrounded by freighters. LOL the water depth is 20 feet. It was a 60 Mile run from last anchorage. No current either. This is a considerably better anchorage than the upstream anchorages. We are just off a long sandy shore. No tows anchored here.

I wasn’t able to take a picture last night due to getting into anchorage after dark. But it sure was a beautiful night to come in. Even without a moon the city lights from the Dow company cast a glow on the water for us. We are anchored behind an island named Plaquemine Bend at mile maker 210. Thanks to Bill and Laura for posting in Active Captain With only a tiny current less than 0.5. We sat on the bow last night and listen to the near by cows moo....and moo... moo.. it was absolutely funny.

We made it to Baton Rouge. We are anchored in Baton Rouge Harbor for the night near 235 Mile Marker. Our water depth is 16.5 feet. No current. Sounds like it might be a bit noisy for the night but it is an industrial area. Tomorrow we will go in a diesel up our cans.

We are anchoring in St. Maurice Tow Head cut for the night. It is about 17 feet here. The current is 0.6 and our Mile Marker is 270. Not sure if I like this spot. Not the sandy shoreline we normally anchor off.

What a great place to anchor tonight. Great sandy beach. Lower Mississippi, inside the red buoys. Along with a fresh pot of spaghetti waiting for dinner. We are at mile marker 304 and our current is 0.9 mph. The water temp is still 63 degrees and the depth is 16 feet. Anchorage latitude is 30.9855 and longitude is -91.6596

We are anchored at mile marker 331 on the lower Mississippi our water depth is 17.5 feet. Water temp is 63.3 and the current is 1.8 mph. It is chilly and rainy. Nice sandy shoreline on this inside red bend.

We found another awesome anchorage at Mile Marker 368 the water depth is 17.1 feet. Get this our current is only 1 Mile an hour! Sweet. We are 4 miles from Natchez. Water temp is 63.9 it’s getting warmer. As usual, sandy shoreline, anchored between two groynes. Latitude is 31.6220 longitude -91.4063

Well, it’s great to be back on the river again. Nice sunny day. Temps 81 degrees. We found another great anchorage on the lower Mississippi off a sandy beach on an inside bend. Our current is 1.7 mph and the water temp is 63.3. Our mile marker is 402 with the water depth at 18.5 feet. As we anchor, this tow is now the biggest at 46 barges 8 wide by 6 long, minus 2 on the bow.. our latitude is 31.9861 our longitude is -91.1254

We have reached Vicksburg... at mm 437 I am breathless. One hour before sunset so we took a small walk into town. I can’t wait till tomorrow. We get to take a tour of the Mississippi Tow. We are anchored 100 feet on the upstream side of the boat launch. There is no current today. Water depth 15.6 OM...the water temp is 66 degrees. This river is called Yazoo. Quite nice anchorage. With no current, we have fore and aft anchors out to keep us still.

We found another great sandy beach anchorage on the lower Mississippi for the night. We are at Mile marker 452 and 12 miles north of Vicksburg MS. Our current 1.7 mph and water depth 22 feet. Water temperature is 61.7 degrees. Tomorrow we will be in Vicksburg for the weekend. Looking forward to all the museums rich in history. It was a great day again on the river. I still think she has cast a spell on me. I love the lower Mississippi ♥️

We are anchored for the night on an inside bend of the river, way inside a set of green buoys at Mile marker 499 off a nice sandy beach. Water depth 15.5 feet deep. The current is 1.9 mph, water temp is 60.6 degrees. Out latitude is 32.9381 and longitude is -91.0764 No sunshine today. Mostly rain and wind. These are the days, I am thankful for our enclosure.

We are in Greenville MS. Anchored across from the boat launch. Looks like a great town to explore. We entered near mile marker 537. Lower Mississippi. There is no current in this canal. It’s called Greenville Harbor. Water depth is deep we anchored in 30 feet of water, no current, light breeze. Water temp 66 degrees.

What a beautiful day of cruising the river. We are anchored near Rohwer AR. at Mile Marker 562 in 16 feet of water. Our current is 1.9 mph. Latitude 33.1667 and Longitude is -91.1374. The fall air has chilled the water to 61 degrees.

What a difference a day makes in the weather. Although it’s cool the sunshine feels great and it heats up the inside of the enclosure. We are anchored off a sandy shore at Mile Marker 623 and our current is 2.3 mph again tonight. The cool temp have chilled off the water temp to 61.7 Our latitude 34.1584 longitude -90.9258

We are in Hickman KY. Anchored in a very nice river in 17 feet of water. Mile Marker 921 . We are protected from all winds and waves. Looks like a few convenience stores, gas station pizza place and restaurant. We have no current. Before we leave tomorrow, we will explore Hickman.

We found a nice anchorage just south of mile marker 117 across from Kaskaskia River junction. In between the green buoy and the beach. Water depth 14 feet and the shoreline is helping protect us from the winds. Current is 1.2 mph.

Presque Isle is just North of Thunder Bay. It is a really nice anchorage. There is also a marina here. We plan on visiting the marina tomorrow while the lake is settling down a bit.
