30 Dec 17:39 - La Boca, a stunning part of Buenos Aires. A neighbourhood where new immigrants first established themselves. Filled with bright colours, tango dancers and crazy football fans.

3 Jan 07:19 - Colourful streets of Colonia 🌸🇺🇾 A chilled and quiet town, just a one hour ferry ride from Buenos Aires.
4 Jan 09:30 - The Plaza Independencia in Montevideo. We caught a bus 3 hours from Colonia to the capital of Uruguay. A small city with friendly people and lots of BBQed meats and fries. The esplanade along the coast is great to ride along (if it’s a sunny day).

27 Feb 00:00 - We’ve crossed the Argentinian and Chilean border. It took us a few hours to pass security at the top of the Andes. We arrived at immigration at 1am and departed not long after 3:30am. Chileans are super strict on bringing in any food and goods. We then made our way down the Andes (see photo). This picture was taken by our friend Dalit, from Israel. She took it heading down the same mountain during the day about a week ago. 27 hair pin turns made for a windy descent. We are now on the Chilean side of the Andes just north-west of Santiago in Valparaíso. ⛰🇨🇱

7 Mar 18:47 - Noche tres: After an afternoon of commuting we arrived at Ecocamping Entre Rockas. A beautiful, sustainable campsite on the river in the Parque Nacional Radal Siete Tazas. A very bumpy 40 minutes of gravel road from Molina. The scenery is just breathtaking. Can’t wait to hike tomorrow!

10 May 07:59 - We have arrived in Potosi!! Escaped the region of Sucre. We thought we would have had to walk for 30km today. Instead we walked 2km and found a taxi driver that said we could get to Potosi without blockades. We hopped in, crossed our fingers for the first 30km of the ride. We made it through without having to cross any blockades. What a mission! We’ve finally made it out of Sucre. 1 week later 🎉🙏🏼💫 We are now on a bus to Oruro from Potosi. 5 hours to Oruro and then a few hours more to La Paz.

Huascaràn is the highest mountain in Peru and the fourth highest mountain in the Western Hemisphere and South America. ‘Waved Albatross Airport’ on Española Island. Massive nesting ground. However, they don’t make nests. They nest in one area and keep moving. They put the egg in their webbed feet. They learn to fly at this spot.
They are the smallest type of albatross but the largest bird on the Galápagos Islands. They have a special feature, they can sleep while they are flying. Crazy! The only place they nest is on Española Island.

28 Aug 15:13 - Base Camp ⛺️ of Volcán Acatenango. A steep 4 hour climb to the base camp, probably the steepest hike we’ve done on the trip. Volcán Fuego is right next to us, most active volcano in Central America and responsible for a devastating eruption just a few months ago. The eruption killed four thousand people and wiped out an entire village. Mother Nature hey! We will summit either tonight for sunset or tomorrow morning for sunrise. 🔝🌋

20 Sep 11:26 - This young girl is creating a table runner using traditional methods. The women of the family stay at home and create textiles and cook, whilst the men work on the land, farming and so forth. What a simple life! We bought some textiles to support this local family and give back to the community.
21 Sep 13:58 - Today we visited the Mayan Medicinal Museum. Giving birth is spiritual and traditional to Mayan culture. The mother is on her knees, holding her husbands neck to grace herself. The midwife is below helping her to push the baby out. The photo tells it all 🤰🏽

15 Oct 15:06 - Over thirty days in Mexico, what a beautiful country! The food is better than you can imagine, the margaritas endless and landscapes differentiate from place to place. Onto Cuba tomorrow morning, just a short 80 minute flight from Cancun Airport ✈️
WiFi is scarce in Cuba so we will speak to you when we land in NYC on Friday evening. Until then, adios Central America, you’ve been a treat! Not long until we begin our European journey and work in Denmark ✨
