A Gypsy New Year 2015

User: cre8tivesoul

A short two weeks trip, heading south to escape the heat and celebrate the new year in a gypsy fashion.

Commenting is closed

After a very humid weekend I want to go back.

Bev, I got to take stacks of extra photos this morning, just before we left. It's as if the birdies wanted to leave me with a parting gift. :) I have plenty of photographic references for paintings and drawings, now.

The fairy wren and finch are beauties! Hope your ride home is just as enjoyable as your trip down was!

Thanks for all the wonderful feedback and lovely comments, everyone. Tomorrow is our last day living as gypsies. We will slowly be heading back home, via inland (backtracking through the Darling Downs) to avoid the coast and persistent rain.

That leaf-tailed lizard is cool-looking. The photos of the falls and the photo of the mountain lookout (with the clouds clearing) are simply awesome. Now where's my fishing pole... :D

Loving all your photos, darl. Glad you're both having such a good trip :-) xxox

Love the "Weetbix" photo and the pictures of all those amazing boulders and granite "sculptures." :)

Thanks for all the lovely comments, guys. We're having a lovely, relaxing time. We're both feeling better and fitter, thanks to all that walking and hiking. :)

It's a lot of fun to follow you around on your trip
Your photos are very nice.
Take care of your aching bodies you guys
Looking forward to the next pics.
Love, Mum

Thanks for all the photos so far. :-)
Lovely scenery Those boulders are amazing as is the archway.

I did bring some ibuprofen, but ice is a no go... We truly are in the middle of Mook Mook, and our tiny freezer is already filled with food. We're going to have to rough it out.

Two words for both of your aching bodies: ice and ibuprofen!

We overdid it on the exercise, soulsis. D's shoulder is really sore and my back is totally out of commission. We won't be doing a lot of climbing today nor tomorrow.

That is definitely a view you had to really want to see! Beautiful. :)
Love all those round granite boulders. I was thinking they should have named it the Rolling Stones National Park. :D

That's a lovely view of Cunningham Gap and the Downs. Looking forward to seeing more photos and hearing more about your trip! You guys don't overdo things since you're both healing and recuperating. :) Easy does it!
