Their Weltenburger Kloster Barock Dunkel was given the World Beer Cup award in 2004 as the best Dunkel beer in the world

We have fire. Went to Bricologe (finally) today and got a campingaz propane fuel canister. It may just be soup and tea, but it is the first hot meal I've prepared.

Great ride today. Long smoothly paved stretches of cycle trail to ride. Met another rider on the road, got sidetracked, and rode an extra few miles past my destination.

Rode 54 kms from Nantes to Saint-Florent-le-Vieil. Legs are starting to recover quicker. I was able to ride a bit faster today. It helps having a beautiful well marked nicely paved path to ride.

Another long ride from Noirmontier to Porniic. Arrived at Pornic at about 5pm and decided to take it easy. No need to push and Pornic is a beautiful port town with a very old castle that I'm going to have to investivate further.

Too funny that you just rode the canals/river I just toured, bet you went a lot faster. But sure was beautiful either way even though I was there during the crap weather. Saw lots of long distance cyclists in their gear ponchos. Glad the weather cleared up, what a fantastic trip, best of luck!

Jim, I have been tracking you for a week now, watching the weather on line wherever you are and looking for the girl shots. other then the days of rain it looks like a great adventure. post more pictures. I am also using google earth to check out the cities you are in.
