The first step is to download and install the app. You can find it on the App Store by searching for “trackmytour”, or by using the direct link to open it in iTunes.
You will be presented with a Welcome screen the first time you launch to app. Type in your username and password to complete the login. If you don't have a username and password, tap "Register a new account" to sign up. Registration is quick and can be completed without leaving the app.
You will receive a welcome message if you entered your login information correctly.
The “Add Waypoint tab” (abbreviated as “Add WP”) is used to add waypoints to your maps. The input fields (map, comment, weather, waypoint type, & photo) should be self-explanatory. The “Show Location” option is only a reference to help you visualize your current location.
Tap the “Save” button to save your waypoint. You will be presented with the option to “Submit Now” or “Save to Drafts”. Submit Now will immediately connect to the TrackMyTour web site and upload your waypoint. Save to Drafts will save the waypoint to the Drafts tab for uploading later. This is useful if you're in an area without internet access or if you wish to further edit the waypoint before submitting.
Note: Elapsed time is calculated against the first and last waypoints of your map. It is therefore good practice to add your first waypoint at the moment your tour begins, and the last waypoint at the moment it ends.
The “Active Map” tab gives you information about your currently selected map. Tap “Link” to distribute the link to your friends and family.
Go touring, have fun, and add more waypoints.
Your friends and family can stay updated on your progress by visiting the URL you gave them.
