Mackinac Island State Park, where the only transportation is horses 🐴 or 🚲peddle 🚲power 🚲. There are about 500 horses 🐴 on the island in season and thousands of bicycles 🚴. The only motorized vehicles are the ambulance πŸš‘ and fire trucks πŸš’

There's a beautiful bike trail here that runs both direction for 15 miles in each. We only got to see a small part of it

Yes it really says a gallon of milk for .77 cents! Not a touristy photo but I just had to put this one in for it SHOCK value! We asked a clerk how long it was on sale for and she said it's always been that price as long as she worked there! Now where's the OREO cookies?!!!

Like the sign suggests ..... not for the weak legged ones .... you can walk down the dune to the shore but it's about a two hour climb up the sandy slope.

Probably the only covered bridge in the NP system with their arrowhead symbol. Mr. Pierce Stocking wanted to provide a picturesque detail for visitors to enjoy and photograph. Which we did on both counts!

Another national park unplanned visit 200 reservable campsites and they are all booked thru August. The 100 first come first serve are gone minutes after they open everyday. At least we got to take the scenic drive πŸ€—

Rails to trails is a converted rail track line that is now paved and used for cross country skiing, biking, walking, roller blading and running. Mostly tree lined and shaded, we rode 10 miles from Hart to Shelby and back
