On September 5, 2017, we (Antonia & Brian) finally set out in Amber, a 1989 Ford Econoline class B campervan, coincidentally with category 5 hurricane Irma on our heels. Finding gas was a struggle, and we decided to put off grocery shopping, but we are ready to explore and experience!

It was such a windy night, and we stupidly put the awning out, then the crank snapped off and we had to engineer a way to get the awning back in before it tore a hole in our home, but we did it! Quite the beautiful campground and chilly weather.

We decided we might as well wait out the remnants of Irma (54 degrees and rain) so we just hopped on over to Germany, of course.

Left Nut Brewery took us in as "refugees", staying open 2 hours after closing, giving us free beer, and offering up their parking lot as a campground for the night. Beyond southern hospitality!

Providence Canyon, slightly less grand but very cool nonetheless. Of course, we didn't check the radar before making the 40 minute treck so we had to ride the motorcycle back in the cold, wet Alabama rain.

We had to return to OBC; by far the coolest brewery we've been to, which we happened to stumble upon in the middle of nowhere, GA several months ago. As we were leaving today, the owner pulled up and he personally invited us to spend the storm inside the brewery with him and the rest of the "family" if we needed to. We are SO psyched to be meeting such incredible people!!

We tend to meet the most down-to-Earth local people at brewery stops, and then there's such great beer! Never thought I'd enjoy a brown ale- much less a PEANUT BUTTER brown ale🙃

Neiberts Fishing Camp; we were by far the youngest and only temporary campers and we both reeked of cigarette smoke from the bar but there's nothing like a run-down Campground with old southern men and free sunrise coffee!
